Katherine Parish Keene

Senior Associate

Ms. Keene obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Chico in 2003, graduating summa cum laude.  She then attended the University of California, Davis School of Law, graduating in 2006 with her Juris Doctorate.  During law school, Ms. Keene was a member of the Moot Court Board and the National Moot Court Competition Team.  She earned the Witkin Award for Legal Writing and an award appellate brief writing.  She also interned with the United States Attorney’s Office and gained valuable mediation experience as a mediator with the Senior Legal Hotline.  

 

Ms. Keene was admitted to the California State Bar in November of 2006 and has been practicing with our firm throughout her entire legal career.  She is experienced in defending all types of medical malpractice claims.  With a passion for her work in defending healthcare professionals, Ms. Keene is skilled in written and oral advocacy, counseling her clients on the strengths and weaknesses of their cases, and handling all aspects of the litigation process.  Ms. Keene is also experienced in defending appeals.  

 

Since 2009, Ms. Keene has been recognized as a Rising Star in Northern California Super Lawyers for her work in medical malpractice.  She has shown dedication to community service through her work as a board member with Through the Looking Glass, a Berkeley based and internationally recognized non-profit serving families with disabilities.  

 

Ms. Keene is admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts of the Northern, Eastern and Central Districts of California.
